Why hire a photographer to document your first moments in home, with a new baby?
To some, this seems obvious, to others, they are not sure or sold on WHY this is such an important investment.
I could tell you how you will want to look back on these moments, how you will want to remember the tiny toes, nose, and ears. How you will want to remember their tiny hand, curled around your finger. How in 20 years, you won't care about your messy room or hair, your less than perfect new mom figure, or that you haven't slept in weeks.
The truth is, most of us do not understand how vital memories are, and that they change and fade over time.
But when this sweet, new life you have been given is old enough to move out, when they graduate high school or go on to college, get married and have their own children... those photos... those tangible memories will remain.
For my fellow moms... we often are the ones behind the camera, snapping the photos, capturing the memories. Our children want to remember us. They want to look back and see us holding them, see us playing, see us napping together or baking together. They want to see that new mom amazement and wonder in your eye as you gaze down at them with love and hope.
Newborns don't keep. Babies don't keep.
BE present.
